Recording Your Steps

Recording your steps is super easy - once you do it a few times, you'll get the hang of it!

Beginning November 1st, you can log into RunSignup. We recommend letting it remember your username/password as you'll be here often!

Go to the Results page HERE.
We recommend bookmarking this page so you can find it quickly.
Click "Submit Virtual Results."
Click "Log Activities."
Under "Date Completed," select the date for which you are entering the steps.
In the second box that says "Steps," enter the number of steps completed that day.
If you'd like, you can enter something about your submission (such as where you were or who you were with when you completed the steps) in the Comment section.

Note:  If you need to log your steps from another day, click "Add Another Activity" next to the plus sign.
Click "Submit Activity" to save your submission.
You’re finished!
The platform will automatically update your total steps and show your total progression to date.

Tips and Tricks for Tracking Your Steps

It's best to enter your step amounts daily rather than allowing your information to accumulate - and your progress will motivate you even more!

If you need to enter steps from a previous day, click "Add Another Activity" underneath the Comments section. Each day should have its own entry.

For those participants who "double" (that is, run/walk twice or perhaps more in a day), simply total the steps that day and submit one entry. E.g., Jane completes 2,000 steps in the morning and then does another 5,000 steps that night. She should make one entry for 7,000 steps that day.

Troubleshooting Your Step Submission Issues

Q: I need to enter my next steps, but I keep entering it and my previous entry disappears. How do I fix it?
A: You are overwriting the previous entry. Keep the data the same for the previous steps, and click ADD ANOTHER ACTIVITY to add your next amount of steps.

Q: When I search for my name, it does not come up to enter virtual results. Or, it says I don't have permission.
A: You must be logged into the same https://runsignup.com/login account that you registered with.

Q: I made a mistake on entering my results - how do I change it?
A: You can go in and overwrite the mistake.  Don't just enter it again correctly since you have to overwrite the incorrect data.

Q: Someone else registered me - how do I move that to my account?
A: Follow the instructions on Access/Manage a Sub-Account

Q: I am listed as anonymous in the results.
A: When you create an account, you have an option to be listed as anonymous in results. To see your results publicly, go to your account page at https://runsignup.com profile and edit your profile. You will see a check box at the bottom that you want to UNCHECK to be listed again.
